Norfolk Church Count 16

Went out for a 20 mile cycle today. Certainly enjoyable peddling round the Norfolk countryside (even in the rain), taking in the scenery, trying to spot a tower or spire of a church then heading towards it. Rather than training rides where your concentrating on what zone your heart rate is in or how high i'm managing to keep my average pace, you tend to miss half of whats around you on those rides.

Doubled the church sightings today. 8 churches visited and photographed. Even found my first round towered church at Brooke.

The Cycling Norfolk Church Spotter

Hi

This will be my third blog,  a spin off from my first & ongoing blog

Fatman to Ironman - http://clearseaz-timetogetfit.blogspot.co.uk/

For those who read my Fatman to Ironman blog regular you will know that i began a journey of fitness back in 2011. This escalated into my plans for completing Ironman UK in 2013.

As part of the cycle training aspect I have decided to also try and visit & take a photo of every medieval church in Norfolk. Apparently there are 650 of them.

So, rather than clog up my other blogs with church pics & information, I thought I'd start a separate one.

My first 4 church pics were taken on 23rd December 2012.

Thanks to the Norfolk churches website which is a great source of information about the churches.

Today i ticked off another 4. Starting to get the feeling this will get addictive. I have already found myself going off planned route today just to nail 2 extra churches. Today's churches were all within a few miles of my house.
